Phase 1: Advanced Electrodynamics

1. AC vs DC (The Power Battle)

Phase 2: Electromagnetic induction (EMI)

1. Faraday's & Lenz's Laws

• Faraday's Law: A changing magnetic field creates an electric current. (The heart of Generators).
• Lenz's Law: An induced current always opposes the change that caused it. (Conservation of energy).

2. Transformers (The Voltage Shifters)

• Step-up: Increases voltage (used in power plants).
• Step-down: Decreases voltage (used for home appliances).
• Logic: Works only on AC, never on DC.

Phase 3: Advanced Magnetism

1. Magnetic Materials

• Diamagnetic: Weakly repelled (Water, Gold).
• Paramagnetic: Weakly attracted (Aluminium, Oxygen).
• Ferromagnetic: Strongly attracted (Iron, Cobalt, Nickel).

2. Earth's Magnetism

• The Earth behaves like a giant bar magnet. The Magnetic North is near the Geographic South.
• Magnetic Declination: The angle between True North and Magnetic North.

Phase 4: The Exam Edge (Safety & Domestic Circuits)

1. Modern Safety Devices

• Fuse: A wire with low melting point and high resistance. Protects against overloading.
• MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker): An electromagnetic switch that flips OFF during faults. Reusable.
• RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker): Protects humans from leakage/shock. Extremely sensitive.

2. Domestic Wiring Logic

• Live (Red/Brown): Carries voltage (220V).
• Neutral (Black/Blue): Completes the circuit.
• Earth (Green/Yellow): Connects meta parts of devices to ground for safety.
