Classification (Odd One Out)

Classification means to assort items of a given group on the basis of certain common quality they possess and then spot the stranger or 'Odd One Out'. In these questions, a group of objects is given, all except one are similar to each other in some way. You have to identify the one that does not belong to the group.

Items are classified based on their meaning, usage, or properties.
1. Synonym/Antonym pairs: Identifying which pair has a different semantic relation.
2. Common Category: Goat, Cow, Horse (Herbivores) vs Lion (Carnivore).
3. Part/Whole: Wheel, Pedal, Handle (Parts of a cycle) vs Cycle (The whole object).

Numbers are grouped based on mathematical properties.
1. Even/Odd: Identifying an odd number in a group of even numbers.
2. Prime/Composite: Spotting a prime among composite numbers.
3. Squares/Cubes: 16, 25, 36 (Squares) vs 40 (Not a square).
4. Divisibility: Finding a number not divisible by a specific divisor common to others.

Groups of letters are analyzed for alphabetical patterns.
1. Vowels vs Consonants: Identifying the group with a different vowel count.
2. Positional Shift: Observing +1, +2, or -1 gaps between letters and finding the one that breaks the pattern.
3. Reverse Pairs: AZ, BY, CX are pairs; DW is a pair, but EV is a pair - finding the one that is NOT a reverse pair.
