Model 1: The 'Header' Trap

Scenario: Table shows "Total Population" in thousands, but column for "% Literate".

The Trap: Student multiplies 450 (absolute) by 20 (percent) directly without converting units.

The Hack: Circle Unit Headers immediately. If Top says "in '000", write "000" big near calculation space.

Example: Pop = 50. Header = (in Lakhs).
Value is 50,00,000. Don't process as just 50.

Model 2: Row vs Column Scanning

Scenario: Q asks "Which year has max growth?". Table has 5 Years (Rows) x 4 Companies (Cols).

Technique: Visual Scan first.
Don't calculate all 20 values.
Compare adjacent cells. Only calculate close calls.

Model 3: The 'Reference' Base

Rule: "% of What?" is the most critical question.

If Table says "% Male" and "% Literate" (Overall), finding "Literate Males" is IMPOSSIBLE without extra data (e.g., ratio).

Warning: Never assume equal distribution unless stated.
