The "Panch Pir" are five folk deities worshipped by both Hindus and Muslims.
1. Ramdev Ji (The Social Reformer)
- Born: Undukasmer (Barmer). Grave: Runicha (Jaisalmer).
- Kamadiya Sect: Founded by him. Women perform Terah Tali dance (with 13 cymbals).
- Literary Work: "24 Baniya" (Only deity who was also a poet).
- Symbol: Footprints (Paglya) and a 5-colored flag called "Neja".
2. Pabu Ji (The Camel God)
- Protector: Believed to cure Plague and protect camels (Raika community).
- Phad Painting: His "Phad" is the most popular, played with Ravanhatta instrument.
3. Goga Ji (Jaharpir)
- Born: Dadrewa (Churu). Grave: Gogamedi (Hanumangarh).
- Title: "Jaharpir" given by Mahmud Ghaznavi after seeing his bravery.
Phase 2: Other High-Yield Deities
1. Teja Ji (Kala-Bala Ka Devta)
- Born: Kharnal (Nagaur). Major temple in Parbatsar.
- Not a Panch Pir, but highly revered in the Jat community.
2. Devnarayan Ji (Guijar community)
- Phad: Longest and oldest phad, played with Jantar instrument. A postal stamp was issued on his phad.
Phase 3: Fairs & Seasonal Festivals
1. Major Fairs
- Pushkar (Ajmer): Kartik Purnima. Largest camel fair. Known as "The Rose of Deserts".
- Beneshwar (Dungarpur): Magh Purnima. Site of "Kumbh of Tribals". Only place where Broken Shivling is worshipped.

- Gangaur (Chaitra Shukla 3): Celebrated for 18 days. Only goddess (Gauri) is worshipped in Jaisalmer without Isar (Shiva).
