Phase 1: Painting Schools (The Four Major Schools)
Rajasthan paintings are classified into four major schools based on geography and style.
1. Mewar School (The Mother School)

- Lineage: Exclusively practiced by the Raj-Soni family for over 400 years.
2. Usta Art (Bikaner)
- Technique: Gold embossing on camel skin (Munawwat work). Artist: Hisamuddin Usta.
3. Blue Pottery (Jaipur)
- Brought from Persia. Kripal Singh Shekhawat revived it (used 25 colors). Foundation made of Quartz powder, Glass, and Katira gum.
Phase 3: Folk Dances (Cultural Highs)
1. Ghoomar (The State Dance)
- Known as the "Soul of Rajasthan Dances". Only for women. The 8 steps are called Sawai.
2. Kalbeliya (Snake Charmers)
- UNESCO List (2010): Intangible Cultural Heritage. Famous dancer: Gulabo Sapera.
3. Kachhi Ghodi (Shekhawati)
- A professional dance performed with dummy horses. Famous for "Flower Petal" movement pattern.
Phase 4: The Exam Edge (High-Yield Facts)
- Molela (Rajsamand): World-famous for Terracotta clay idols.
- Badla (Jodhpur): Not a solar park here - refers to the Zinc-coated water bottles.
- Pottery Colors: Blue pottery doesn't use "Clay"; it uses ground quartz.
- Bani Thani: Eric Dickinson called it the "Indian Monalisa".
